Q. How long will my order take to be delivered?
Your order may come from:
One of Double D Leather’s warehouses or
Direct to you from our other suppliers’ warehouses or
Both
…depending on what types of products you order.
Standard Items
Your purchases of ‘Standard Items’ from Double D Leather’s warehouses will be delivered by Australia Post couriers.
Metropolitan locations – Orders received by 5pm for delivery between 1 and 2 working days
Country locations – Order received by 3pm for delivery between 1 and 3 working days (covers 99% of rural Australia).
Non-Standard Items
If your order comes direct to you from one or more of our other suppliers’ warehouses, we call these items ‘Non-Standard.’
You will be advised if you have purchased Non-Standard items in the Order Confirmation email we send you.
The majority of these orders will take between 1 and 4 working days to reach you. However some orders will take up to 10 working days to be delivered.
Every attempt will be made to deliver your purchases personally to you or obtain a signature from a colleague or family member as confirmation of receipt.
Q. What if no one is available to accept my delivery?
Not sure if you will be home or in the office?
Standard Items
If you are not there to accept deliveries of ‘Standard Items’ from Double D Leather’s warehouses, the courier will leave a card detailing the pick up address of your local Australia Post retail outlet.
Simply present this card and some current identification at your convenience to claim your goods.
Non-Standard Items
If you are not there to accept deliveries of ‘Non-Standard Items’ direct from our other suppliers’ warehouses, their delivery contractors will leave a card with a contact number to re-organise the delivery.
Q. How much will my delivery cost?
Standard Items
The standard delivery charge for both metropolitan and country orders is calculated at time of checkout.
Delivery charges can be viewed at any point of your shopping process by clicking on your shopping cart.
Non-Standard items
However, if an item in your cart is:
Valuable
Fragile or
Big and Bulky
We classify them as Freight Categories B and C* and additional charges will apply.
Q. How many deliveries will I receive?
You will be advised an estimate of how many deliveries you will receive at Checkout and in your Order Confirmation email.
In the majority of cases you will receive all of your purchases in one consolidated delivery.
However, you may receive more than one delivery if:
One or more of your purchases are being delivered to you direct from our other suppliers rather than out of a Industrial Supplies Australia’s warehouse ( we term these ‘Non-Standard Items’) or
One or more of your purchases is not held in your ‘local state’ warehouse
Please be aware that you will only be charged one delivery charges regardless of how many deliveries we send you.
Q. How will I know if I am going to receive more than one delivery?
Before you are asked to confirm your order at Check Out, you will be notified how many deliveries you should expect to receive.
You will again be notified of this in your Order Confirmation email.
On dispatch of each delivery you will be sent a further notification email.
Q. How can I find out the delivery status of my order?
Double “D” Leather customers can view the status of their order by checking within My Account.
